Video: Kelvin Taylor Florida Gators career Highlights

When Fred Taylor’s son Kelvin committed to Florida, it was widely assumed that he was going to be the next special running back for the Gators.

But it didn’t happen right away. Playing behind Matt Jones (and for one year, Mack Brown) limited his carries in his first two years. In his junior year, though, Taylor was made the featured running back, and things took off. Taylor proceeded to become just the Gators’ second 1,000 yard rusher in a single season since 2004, gaining 1,035 yards on the ground. He finishes his Gator career with 2,108 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 486 carries.

And as he prepares to enter the professional football world, let’s take one last look back at his career, and the reason he finishes with those impressive numbers.
