Class of 2022 Early Signing Day Tracker

Early Signing Period

Welcome to our Class of 2022 Early Signing Day tracker!

As we have done in previous years, this page will serve as a hub of activity for the Florida Gators on the first day of the Early Signing Period for the 2022 recruiting cycle.

In contrast to previous years, Florida probably won’t be signing the majority of its class today. But having said that, Billy Napier has created a different type of energy around the Gator football program in barely a week and a half on the job. So, who knows? There just might be some surprises!

Stay tuned throughout the day for updates regarding which of the Gators’ targets sign where, and which of them send in letters of intent to Florida to officially make them Florida Gators. The updates will come in chronological order, with the oldest first, making it easier to catch up on anything you may have missed.

4:00pm Tuesday: as of right now, the two main announcements to keep an eye out for tomorrow are safeties Devin Moore (consensus four star, projection- Florida: 8am) and Kamari Wilson (consensus five star, projection- Georgia: 4pm;).

4:30pm Tuesday: three star defensive lineman Shone Washington, a current Georgia commit, has announced that he’ll be signing at 4pm ET. He’ll be deciding between Florida and Georgia.

6:10pm Tuesday: Former Florida commit Julio Humphrey, now a Georgia pledge, is also worth paying attention to after Billy Napier re-offered him on Tuesday morning; he does not have a set announcement time, but has said that he will be signing tomorrow. Where? Probably Georgia, but that’s now been reduced from a certainty to the most likely outcome.

7:10am: we’ve got our first official Florida Gator: offensive lineman/tight end Tony Livingston has sent in his letter of intent.

7:50am: Devin Moore has officially completed the flip from Notre Dame! As he picked up the Florida hat at his commitment ceremony, he declared: “Scared money don’t make money.”

9:15am: not much has happened since the sun rose today, but Florida is expected to start racking up some more letters of intent as the day progresses. Below is a table of announcements from kids who are at least considering Florida:

10:00am: here come the LOIs. The first of these: defensive tackle Chris McClellan has sent in his letter of intent.

10:10am: and another one. Offensive lineman David Conner has sent in his letter of intent.

11:25am: we got our kicker! Kicker Trey Smack has sent in his letter of intent.

11:50am: gotta beef up those trenches; defensive tackle Jamari Lyons has sent in his letter of intent.

4:00pm: WE GOT KAMARI WILSON!!! A FIVE STAR FLIP FROM GEORGIA!!!

4:40pm: in addition to Kamari Wilson’s LOI, defensive tackle Chris McClellan has sent in his letter of intent.

6:26pm: FOUR STAR LINEBACKER SHEMAR JAMES IS A FLORIDA GATOR!!!
