Closure is nearing in the credit card fraud case that helped derail the Gators’ 2017 season.
Florida defensive tackle Richerd Desir-Jones is set to transfer to Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. Desir-Jones, originally from St. Thomas Aquinas, was among nine different players involved in the credit card fraud case, and still has an open eviction/delinquent rent case against him for $4182.25.
Of the nine players, only James Houston and Jordan Scarlett are set to return. Desir-Jones joins Kadeem Telfort and Jordan Smith in transferring, while Antonio Callaway declared early for the NFL Draft. The status of the remaining three (Keivonnis Davis, Ventrell Miller, Rick Wells) remains in question.
