The Gators’ second Junior Day event in Gainesville is upon us, and it’s important to keep an eye on because more often than not, Florida uses it to add members to its list of commits. This time around, the chances of the Gators doing so are increased appreciably- because they’ve got an unprecedented amount of talent on its way to the Swamp for this event.
As is always the case with anything in the world of college football recruiting, anything can change at any given moment, including midway through a player’s car ride to Gainesville. With that disclaimer being said, though, here are the players expected to be on hand this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ QB Carlos Del Rio (Florida commit)
One of the first commits of the Gators’ 2021 class, the pro-style QB from Georgia appears to be coming down for a business trip. He’ll likely be in the ear of several fellow prospects he’d like to join forces with in Gainesville.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ RB Jamie Felix (uncommitted)
Felix’s stock is rising with a recent offer from Georgia, which joins Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, LSU and several other big name programs. This is Florida’s first chance to really make an impact with him.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ RB Cody Brown (uncommitted)
Florida has a lot of ground to make up with Auburn for Brown’s ball-carrying services. Brown seems friendly with a few Gator commits in both the 2020 and 2021 classes, though, so impressing him this weekend would be a good start.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATH Brashard Smith (Florida commit)
The versatile- and recently anointed All-American- playmaker from Miami Palmetto is already in town, arriving early so that he can participate in a 7-on-7 tournament tomorrow.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Trevonte Rucker (Florida commit)
Florida has a lot of ground to make up with Auburn for Brown’s ball-carrying services. Brown seems friendly with a few Gator commits in both the 2020 and 2021 classes, though, so impressing him this weekend would be a good start.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Bralon Brown (uncommitted)
Florida has yet to offer Brown, while Auburn, Penn State, Texas A&M, Michigan and Georgia all have. So they’re a bit behind the eight ball with him. But maybe that will change during his visit today.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Daejon Reynolds (Florida commit)
Reynolds will be coming down with Del Rio, his teammate at Grayson in Georgia. Like Del Rio, Reynolds will be looking to network with other prospects and do some of the recruiting for the staff.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Mario Williams (uncommitted)
The presumed Oklahoma lean is one of the bigger fish on campus this weekend. Don’t be fooled by his lack of a fifth star; pretty much every college in America has offered this kid, including Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Texas, Ohio State, and literally dozens more. He’s in town today, giving Florida a shot to make a real push for him.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Christian Leary (uncommitted)
Billy Gonzales has been after Leary for some time now, which played a huge role in Leary listing Florida in his top ten choices. Here’s a chance to build on that when he arrives tomorrow.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATH Tommi Hill (uncommitted)
A teammate of Leary’s at Orlando’s Edgewater High School, this two way player is picking up some steam with several recent offers due to his versatility. He could play both sides of the ball at Florida, but the first in getting that to happen: he’ll need to develop some trust with the staff this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WR Marcus Burke (uncommitted)
Burke, a Trinity Christian product from Jacksonville, has unofficially visited Gainesville several times already and is coming back this weekend. The Gators will have to fight off archrivals Georgia and FSU in order to land him, and another round of that battle will be fought over the next 24 hours.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ TE Nick Elksnis (uncommitted)
Having recently decommitted from Penn State, Elksnis is now looking for a new place to verbally call home. Ace recruiter Tim Brewster is in hot pursuit of the Jacksonville native, who will be making his second visit to Florida in a month. Junior Day events usually land at least one commitment, and if you’re a betting man, Elksnis is as logical a choice as any.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TE Gage Wilcox (Florida commit)
Wilcox will be making his first visit to Gainesville since committing a week ago. Can’t hurt to check out your new digs, right?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OT Amarius Mims (uncommitted)
The Gators have their work cut out for them in terms of prying Mims away from his home state Georgia Bulldogs, but getting him to visit this weekend was critical. Mims appears to be a big fan of John Hevesy, too, and now the task at hand will be selling him on the rest of the program. Along with Williams, Mims is another one of those bigger fish in attendance this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OT Micah Morris (uncommitted)
A teammate of Jamie Felix’s at Camden County High School in Georgia, Morris has been very complimentary of Florida. But Georgia and South Carolina aren’t backing away from him, meaning the Gators will simply have to take him away. This weekend presents an excellent opportunity for them to do so.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ OT Javonte Gardner (Florida commit)
Gardner will be making his first visit to the Swamp as a Gator commit. This feels like the perfect time to remind everybody that he grew up an FSU fan, but that “now I’m at the age where I understand football.” Easily one of the five best lines I’ve ever heard from a high school prospect.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ OG Jared Wilson (uncommitted)
After decommitting from Georgia last month, Wilson is back on the market. Florida is in a position where the more offensive line commits they get, the better off they are and they’ll no doubt be pushing that narrative when Wilson makes his inaugural visit to Gainesville.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Tunmise Adeleye (uncommitted)
You know how the hottest part of a flame is the small flicker of blue at the bottom? Florida is in blue hot pursuit of Adeleye, who just transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton. The Gators have an utterly atrocious history of recruiting football players from the athlete factory that Nick Bolletieri built, but landing Adeleye would go a long way towards overwriting it. Adeleye easily qualifies as one of those “big fish” visitors this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Bryce Langston (uncommitted)
Langston, a former Gator pledge who decommitted in the wake of Chris Steele’s three act tragedy play, is starting to warm back up to Florida. However, LSU is also heavily involved with Langston and just locked him up for an official visit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Tyreak Sapp (Florida commit)
One of the longest standing Gator commits in the 2021 class, Sapp will be joining Del Rio and the other commits in working on some of the uncommitted players this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Victoine Brown (uncommitted)
Yet another Grayson High School product, Brown appears to be leaning towards South Carolina. But maybe Del Rio and Reynolds can persuade him otherwise.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Jeremiah Johnson (uncommitted)
Florida has a good amount of work to do to lure the Birmingham product away from the home state Crimson Tide. But getting this visit was a good start.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Khristian Zachary (uncommitted)
Zachary will be making his first visit to the Swamp this weekend. He doesn’t seem to have especially strong feelings for any one school yet, but this is a great chance for Florida to change that.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DE Keanu Koht (uncommitted)
Koht’s recruitment is rapidly picking up steam. He’s grabbed offers from Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Kentucky and LSU in the last three weeks alone. Florida has a head start with him, though, as he’s visited Gainesville multiple times before this weekend.

Going along with the “bigger fish to catch” analogy I’ve used for Williams, Mims and Adeleye: here’s another one. The five star interior lineman likes Florida a lot, but he also really likes his hometown Miami Hurricanes. This weekend is a golden opportunity for Florida to really separate itself from its intermittent rivals to the south.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DT Savion Collins (Miami commit)
And here’s yet another of those so-called bigger fish. If you had to bet your life’s savings on guy you think will flip, Collins is the best option. A teammate of Taylor’s at Miami Palmetto High School, Collins has been high on the Gators for some time now even as he’s remained committed to the Hurricanes. He’s officially on flip watch, beginning with this weekend.

Barnes is another one making his first ever visit to Gainesville for the Gators’ Junior Day. The three star prospect from Montgomery seems to be favoring Auburn, but maybe Florida can swing some momentum in their favor this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DT Tim Keenan (uncommitted)
Keenan has drawn a lot of interest from powerhouses Alabama, Auburn and LSU, so Florida has a steep uphill battle to climb for him. They’ll get a chance to do so when Keenan visits the Swamp for the first time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ DT Christopher Thomas (Florida commit)
Thomas, like Sapp, has been committed to Florida for awhile now. He’s just coming to build relationships. (And have fun, of course.)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ DT Desmond Watson (uncommitted)
Watson has a lot of offers for a three star, including from Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and many, many more. He feels like a Florida lean at this point, so maybe the Gators can close on him this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OLB Jamon Dumas-Johnson (uncommitted)
A teammate of Gator commit Clinton Burton at Baltimore’s St. Frances, Dumas-Johnson will be making his first trip to the Swamp for the Gators’ Junior Day event along with Burton. No doubt the Florida commits will be in his ear this weekend.

Lassiter, like many others on this list, will be visiting town for the first time ever after getting offered by the Gators last month. Here’s a chance to build on that momentum.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATH Xavian Sorey (uncommitted)
Florida has an uphill battle to pry the Graceville product away from Alabama. But Sorey has also said he’s going to take his time making his decision. So Florida can make some real ground with him this weekend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CB Corey Collier (uncommitted)
Torrian Gray has been recruiting Collier hard, although FSU has the legacy advantage for the Miami Palmetto DB and Clemson and LSU are also in hot pursuit. The Gators’ Junior Day event could make his recruitment process even more complicated. He’s on campus today, but is leaving for a 7-on-7 tournament tomorrow.

Marshall, a consensus five star prospect with several dozen offers, might be the biggest of all the big fish on campus this weekend. One of three Miami Palmetto cornerbacks in attendance, Marshall is presumed by some to be a Miami Hurricane lean, and an FSU lean by others. Either way, this is Florida’s chance to change his mind.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CB Clinton Burton (Florida commit)
Burton, like his fellow commits, is here to recruit. He’s one of Florida’s top commits and will be in the ear of several top uncommitted prospects.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ CB Derrick Edwards (uncommitted)
Edwards is just another one of the several Miami Palmetto kids attending the Gators’ Junior Day event. Like Collier, though, he’s only here today before leaving for that 7-on-7 tournament.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATH Kamar Wilcoxson (Florida commit)
Wilcoxson, a rare IMG Academy Gator commit, is suddenly starting to like in-state rival Miami. No better way to re-establish his interest in him than by bringing him to Junior Day.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ S Ahmari Harvey (uncommitted)
It’s a two team race for Harvey between the combatants of the 1997 Sugar Bowl. Florida appears to have an appreciable edge right now, although his hometown Seminoles have gotten him to visit several times. But he’ll be visiting the second Gators’ Junior Day in a row after visiting the first one in February, meaning Florida has to be feeling good about their chances.

Arnold seems to be between hometown FSU and Alabama, but the Gators are making a real push for him now and have evidently made an impression by getting him to come this weekend.
