The Gators’ 2018 recruiting class has matched their winning streak over Georgia.
Defensive back CJ Smith has committed to Florida, only five weeks after being first offered. Smith is a consensus four star recruit, and boasts a mammoth offer list that includes Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan, Wisconsin, Louisiana State, Penn State and Ohio State. Because of his physicality and pure strength, Smith projects as a safety at the next level, although he’s athletic enough to be fit into a corner slot.
To say that there’s a long way to go before Signing Day is an understatement… is an understatement. But with ten more months and change to go before that point, Jim McElwain’s 2018 class is off to a good start.
