Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a game I have been after for months: Florida-Tennessee, 2005.
I had to slap this one together at the last minute to get it ready for a Throwback Thursday, but I got it done. I had to, of course. You see, this may have been an ugly game, but it holds significant historical relevance. It wasn’t just Urban Meyer’s first SEC game, or first SEC win, or even the introduction of his much maligned spread offense to the SEC. No, this game is important because it’s the night the Gators’ dominance over Tennessee has really begun.
Beginning with this game, Florida has won ten straight over the Volunteers. Here’s to number eleven.
