From the Tar Heel State to Gator Nation: Yousef Mugharbil is a Florida commit.
A day before the Gators take on Georgia in the Cocktail Party, Yousef Mugharbil kicked off their weekend the right way.
Mugharbil, a consensus four star offensive lineman from Murphy, NC/Murphy HS, has committed to Florida. He also had offers from Penn State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Louisville, Tennessee, Kentucky, NC State, Wake Forest and Arkansas.

As the tape shows, Mugharbil is a ferocious run blocker who can really drive his defender down the field and create some running room for his team’s tailback. He’s not the biggest offensive lineman in the class, but with the help of Nick Savage and John Hevesy, he could be. He’s athletic and versatile enough that I can envision seeing him play at either center or guard, but from what I’ve seen on tape he appears to be best suited for guard.
Scouts do warn, however, that he’s not there as a pass blocker yet and that’s obviously something that’s going to have to change if he wants to see the field for Florida. Mugharbil is not likely a Day One plug-and-play option at the collegiate level if you aren’t dangerously thin on the line, he’s more of a long term project, but the upside is there. Don’t be surprised if he finds himself sneaking into All-SEC conversations by 2023.
The addition of Yousef Mugharbil pushes Florida’s already loaded 2021 recruiting class up to 26 members, and knocks it up even higher in the national rankings. 247Sports has the Gators’ class ranked #7, while Rivals says that Dan Mullen owns the 6th best class in the 2021 recruiting cycle.
