4 star LB Levi Jones (Florida, FSU, USC)
Florida was actually named as Jones’ leader a few weeks ago, but the FSU staff has been quietly gaining confidence that they’ll land him. It would be a huge get for the Gators, but I don’t think so. Prediction: FSU
4 star OL TJ Slaton (Florida, Miami, Georgia)
Thanks to a poorly crafted rumor dreamed up by someone affiliated with the Miami Hurricanes, recruits are now left to wonder if that’s the school they really want to play for. There will be several Florida-Miami battles today, and the Gators- who have led for Slaton for quite some time now- figure to deliver a beating to the Canes on the recruiting trail. It starts here. Prediction: Florida
4 star DE Jarez Parks (Florida, FSU, Alabama)
Florida seems like the least likely of Parks’ three finalists to land him, but hey, you never know. I just don’t think so. This feels like a battle between Alabama and FSU, and Florida is just on the table to garner more attention. Prediction: FSU
5 star DE K’Lavon Chaisson (Florida, LSU, Texas)
The Gators certainly got Chaisson’s attention when he took his official visit last weekend. But it may have been too late in the game to make a serious run at him after he’s been showered with attention by LSU the past few months. It would be nothing short of a shocker if he picked Florida. Prediction: LSU
4 star DB CJ Henderson (Florida, Miami)
Here’s another Florida-Miami recruiting war that will end today. Like Slaton, Henderson is from Miami’s backyard. And like Slaton, Henderson will curve his hometown Hurricanes in favor of the Gators. Prediction: Florida
5 star DE LaBryan Ray (Florida, Alabama, Tennessee)
It was never going to be easy to pull Ray away from his hometown Alabama Crimson Tide, but the Gators did make a late push. I don’t really think he’ll pick Florida, but it’s worth at least tuning into his announcement ceremony to find out. Prediction: Alabama
4 star RB Adarius Lemons (Florida, Kentucky)
I listed Florida and Kentucky as Lemons’ finalists to keep the whole thing uniform, but this really isn’t his decision to make. He’s either academically qualified to enroll at UF or he isn’t. And the fact that he’s holding a ceremony on National Signing Day makes me think… bite my lip, cross my fingers and say he’s a Gator. Prediction: Florida
3 star CB Brian Edwards (Florida, Miami)
Yet another announcement from a Miami area kid with Florida and Miami as his finalists. Per rumors, Edwards was particularly pissed off about the bogus rumor, and he’ll give the Gators a clean sweep over the Hurricanes with his announcement. Prediction: Florida
4 star CB Elijah Blades (Florida, Nebraska, USC)
It’s nothing short of a long shot that Blades would re-commit to Florida after decommitting last week, but who really knows what goes through these kids’ minds? I’m intrigued enough to at least list him as a possibility. Prediction: Nebraska
