With National Signing Day now two weeks behind us, it’s officially time to move on and begin to get ourselves acquainted with the going-ons of the 2018 recruiting year. Which is where I’m proud to re-introduce one of the staples of this site.
Yes, the Recruiting Big Board has been rebuilt to reflect the new recruiting cycle. A forced site reboot around New Year’s kind of threw off the layout of the charts and tables I had previously built anywhere on the site; this time around, I built it to be responsive/mobile friendly in order to avoid that (and will do the same for any others I build in the future). It’s got all the same features as before, just put together in a newer, sleeker design that I think you’ll find a lot easier to navigate through.
The only thing I still have to do is link the recruits’ hudl pages to their names in their cells. That should be done by tomorrow night at the latest, so definitely check back then in order to watch all the highlights of kids Florida is considering that you want in one place.
This feels like as good a place as any to throw in the standard reminder that player odds are based on what a few current (and now one former) players tell me. Yes, the players I speak to about this know more than most, but they also don’t know everything. Also remember that things can change on a daily basis, so keep checking the Big Board to see the latest.
And of course, any other suggestions to make the Big Board even better are welcome…
