Our Big Board was a major hit last year, as was the Activity Timeline I installed along with it. So the right thing to do was to make it better, of course.
You can access the Big Board here, as well as hovering over the recruiting tab on the main menu, and then selecting “2017 Big Board” from the drop down menu.
As you probably noticed, there are two significant changes to this year’s Big Board. The first is that the players are divided up into categories detailing just how high they are on Jim McElwain’s priority list, which takes several variables into account. If a player is really good, really interested in Florida, and plays a position in which the Gators either currently or will soon need reinforcements, he’s considered a top target. Play with those components a little bit, but in general, the more strongly you can say “yes” to each of them, the higher of a priority he’ll be.
In addition, I’ve linked every player’s highlight videos to their name, which basically means that if you’d like to see film of any and every kid on the Gators’ radar, all you have to do is click on the player’s name. I’ve always trusted Hudl to have the most extensive libraries of game tapes of a given recruit, and now you’ll get to see what the recruiting experts are talking about for yourselves.
So, enjoy. I’m currently working on upgrading the Activity Timeline as we speak; hopefully, it’ll be ready by next week. And as always, any suggestions are welcome.
