Make that two in one night for McElwain. And the Gators still may not be done.
Mere minutes after Quincy Lenton committed, the Gators got a huge pickup in wide receiver DaQuon Green (Class of 2017). He’s a consensus four star receiver with a ridiculous offer list. OK, ready? Let’s do this: Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn, Michigan, Mississippi, Miami, Tennessee and South Carolina have all offered him. But like Lenton, he only needed a couple minutes on UF’s campus to pull the trigger.
Green could provide some help right away, too. Florida’s receiving corps has not been great over the last few years, to be blunt. DeMarcus Robinson has stepped up into a playmaker, but he’ll be gone by the time Green gets to campus. Green gives Florida a 6’1 target with good speed and solid hands. Not a bad guy to throw to. And with two more years to grow and develop before he gets to college, he could blossom into a legitimate weapon in no time.
