At In All Kinds Of Weather, we are always looking for ways to grow and expand our operations in order to bring the best content possible to Gator Nation. Today, we’re proud to announce a move that does just that. It’s a move that has been in the works for months, and today with the logistics and housekeeping components of the move finally wrapped up, we can finally go public with it.
The popular Gator baseball/softball focused podcast Gator Diamond Pod is officially joining the In All Kinds Of Weather family. The GDP hosts, Adrian Perez and Chris Uhrich, will be recording and publishing their Florida baseball/softball content under the In All Kinds Of Weather umbrella, and thus the IAKOW YouTube and podcast accounts. The show title “Gator Diamond Pod” will remain; the Gator Diamond Pod simply becomes the official baseball/softball podcast of the In All Kinds Of Weather brand.
GDP’s loyal audience will be happy to know two other things, too: 1) 2) absolutely nothing else about the Gator Diamond Podcast show is changing other than the move to the IAKOW brand and the aforementioned tech upgrade.
For those who aren’t aware, the Gator Diamond Podcast was born about two years ago because Chris and Adrian noticed that almost every other college sports podcast– both about the Gators and other teams– covers football first and foremost. A few focus on just basketball (such as Florida Basketball Hour, which is sensational, but I digress) but not the majority, and for the most part, the other sports just get left out completely. And since Florida has a devoted baseball/softball fanbase, and since stickball is their passion, Chris Uhrich and Adrian Perez decided to step up and fill that void with the only baseball/softball-focused show about the Gators.
Obviously, I didn’t bring on another successful show under the IAKOW umbrella just to mess with what made it successful. The Gator Diamond Podcast show works because Chris and Adrian know what they’re doing from a content standpoint. Other than post-production and hopping on as an occasional guest host, I’m completely staying out of their way and letting them do their thing.
That said, this change does mean that all future Gator Diamond Podcast shows will be produced and distributed through and on the In All Kinds Of Weather Forecast channels. The Gator Diamond Podcast video podcasts will be available here, and the audio-only versions of their shows will be available here. All the shows they’ve done up until this point will remain on their old GDP YouTube and podcast channels, which is now essentially being archived.
In addition to all this, Adrian is coming over to the In All Kinds Of Weather Forecast full-time. He will jump into the IAKOW Forecast co-host role for football and basketball shows with yours truly, and when Chris Uhrich is able to take a breather from military duty in South Korea, he’ll join football and basketball shows as a guest as well. Shows about football, basketball, and recruiting will primarily be done as In All Kinds Of Weather Forecast episodes with Adrian and myself, while Adrian and Chris will continue to talk stickball in episodes of Gator Diamond Pod that just get published to the same handles as the IAKOW Forecast.
Lastly, there are a couple of other new accessibility and interactive features we’re in the process of adding to the production of both shows to enhance y’all’s viewing/listening experience. More on that soon, stay tuned.
Statement from Adrian Perez and Chris Uhrich, co-founders/co-hosts of Gator Diamond Pod
“Gator Diamond Pod is thrilled to announce our addition to the In All Kinds Of Weather team. While we have enjoyed covering Gator baseball and stickball and look forward to continuing to do so, we’ve always wanted a platform to talk Gator football and basketball as well. When Neil approached us with this idea, we immediately knew this was the opportunity we’d been waiting for. Neil and the two of us have long appreciated and respected each other’s work, and we are eager to collaborate and elevate this expanded brand to new heights of success and influence. Here’s to a long and successful podcasting relationship between GDP and IAKOW!”
