Who could forget the interception and long return against Georgia in 2008? How about the way he climbed the ladder to snatch the game clinching interception against Tennessee in 2009? And mostly: who could forget the unbelievable acrobatic play he made to steal the ball away from an Oklahoma receiver to set up the Gators’ game winning touchdown in the national championship game against Oklahoma?
I for one could not. And so I called him up on the phone to relive those glory days with him, and have him take me through them all through his eyes. I considered writing it all up to craft a well well written story, but I decided against that because Ahmad Black’s glory days aren’t just one story, they’re full of stories- and most importantly, they’re all his to tell. With his voice.
