The Gator Raid of Buckeye country continues.
Highly touted offensive lineman George Brown (Cincinnati, OH/Winton Woods HS) has committed to Florida. He’s the second Top 300 recruit from the state of Ohio to commit to Florida in the past couple of weeks, along with linebacker Jerome Brown (from Cleveland).
Brown picked the Gators over rivals Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and what most “experts” considered to be his favorite, Kentucky. Perhaps it the way in which he committed that was what really made it awesome- Brown one-upped Isaiah Crowell and took out a live alligator in order to make a visual impact.
I got the first chance to speak with Brown on his commitment, before anybody else even knew where he was going. We talked about a lot of different things, including his relationship with Gator coaches, players and recruits, as well as a highly ranked recruit most consider a Florida lean about to pull the trigger and commit to the Gators as well.
Enjoy!
